I made a lot of mistakes with the car and thankfully PSM was left on to catch my mistakes hahaha I managed to still get a 2:03.6 with the car with this being my only experience with it. Thankfully everyone was generous with the point-bys. ![]() There was a lot of traffic, but I didn't mind. I ran in the purple group since my dad drives the car in the black group with me. The GT4 came with Dunlop SPORT MAXX RACE tires and my goodness there is a world of difference when I compare it to the amount of grip the PSS has. 1:37.5 - Honda NSX (3.2) Production record. We literally had just broken the car in with 2500 miles on our way to Buttonwillow, so it was the first time I got to hear its 3.8L flat 6 scream. Buttonwillow Configuration 13 is a racing venue in United States with 65 lap times. I really want to make more track videos with this car, but I also want my dad to enjoy his retirement car hahahaha ![]() Not an STI, but I was my first time behind the wheel at the track with my dad's Cayman GT4!!!! I'm torn because I always want to try for my PB with my STI, but this car is so freakin fun to drive. I would love to hear your thoughts on what I should get! I hear a lot of good things about koyorad radiators, but I also have my eye on CSF's radiator with the build in oil-cooler. Next time I go to the track, I will be upgrading my radiator to be able to handle the heat. Now I also wonder if that front aero also played a role in getting that lap time. When I was driving in the rain recently, a puddle snapped off the lip so I don't have it anymore. A week later and Tom arrived at Buttonwillow Raceway in order to drive the infamous CW13 (clockwise 13) configuration that has been a benchmark for fast cars in. I also think the castrol SRF played a big role as well. Could I have managed a 2:07 with stock pads & rotors? I want to believe so, but I also think I wouldn't have gotten as many laps in as I did if I didn't have the upgraded parts. My brakes worked without flaw with how I was driving and I'm really happy with that.Ī few last thoughts - I do wish I had 1 more track day with factory pads and rotors to see how much of a difference having my brake ducts make. My brake duct kit + rotors and pads have given me a lot more confidence and I never felt like I was cooking them. I never thought I would even get 2:07 on stock suspension and PSS tires. ![]()
